The Design

In 2015AD, Auto Guards emerged as a modern alternative to traditional mud flaps. Initially, we avoided the term “mudflap” because it didn’t do justice to our product. But today, we proudly embrace it. Each design is carefully crafted, using a mix of digital scanning, precise design work, and hands-on modeling. We focus on both function and style, customizing every Auto Guard to fit a specific vehicle, guided by math and the path of tire spray.

The Craftsmanship

Auto Guards undergo a meticulous crafting process, starting with solid carbon fiber infused with a flexible epoxy resin. Through a 20-step manufacturing journey that includes cutting-edge digital design, precision machine work, meticulous hand finishing, and stringent quality control checks at every stage, we create these exceptional products. Our process begins with in-house production of flat panels, where various types of carbon fiber are skillfully blended. This blend achieves the perfect balance – exceptional flexibility on the Y-axis and remarkable rigidity on the X-axis. This unique construction ensures that Auto Guards seamlessly follow your vehicle’s wheel well contours while maintaining rigidity from side to side. Whether at high speeds, on debris-covered roads, or during spirited track sessions, Auto Guards perform flawlessly.

The Durability

Each Auto Guard boasts double-layered protection to withstand the harsh realities of the road. The visible side is coated with a self-healing layer of PPF film provided by Legend, surpassing the durability of standard automotive clear coatings. Thanks to its self-healing properties, minor blemishes and scratches can be effortlessly erased with the application of heat – often as simple as exposure to direct sunlight. On the flip side, the back of every Guard features a Kevlar-infused textured liner, serving as the first line of defense against road debris. This semi-gloss Kevlar liner blends seamlessly into the inner wheel wells, preserving both function and form.

The Installation

All Auto Guards offer a hassle-free, drill-free installation. We utilize OEM mounting points, secure OEM mounting areas with VHB tape, or employ a combination of both methods. For models without a sufficiently wide mounting edge for VHB tape or lacking nearby mounting hardware, we provide proprietary 3D printed brackets, ensuring a straightforward DIY installation. We even supply new OEM hardware in cases where the existing hardware is prone to breakage or deemed “single-use.” While lowering your vehicle might necessitate lifting it for install, in most instances wheel removal or vehicle lifting is not required.
